How did you fare today with your journey of seeking out a tiny joy?
I knew I’d be sharing mine (as promised from this morning’s post), but I decided at the last minute that I wanted to up my game a notch. Instead of simply jotting down my TJs (as I call them) in my notebook, I thought it’d be even better–if possible–to snap a picture of the moment to share here.
The joy itself was that after teaching together for 14 years and talking about it for several years, K. & I finally made a coffee date to catch up. Mind you, we’re also both leaving this year–her, to move up to teaching high school art, and me, out of education all together. The craziest thing is that we’ve literally taught 2 doors away from each other for the last 11 years or so, yet never managed to follow through on our coffee date talks.
Where did you find your tiny joy? Was it obvious or did you need to do a bit of introspection? I’d love to hear in the comments. If it slipped by unnoticed, no worries. Tiny joys are everywhere once you start looking. Tomorrow is a new day, and a new space where sparks of joy await. See you there!
Til tomorrow, friends.

My tiny joy today? Ooo, there were a few! It was in the delightful walk I enjoyed with a friend. And in the delicious quesadilla I enjoyed for lunch. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s in the time I’m spending now, jammies and comfy socks on, dog at my feet.
Thanks for creating this space to share. =))

You’re so welcome! Tiny joys are all around us when we sink into the moments, aren’t they? I like to think of it as less rote way of practicing gratitude. Sounds like you had a fully enjoyable day!
