If you hate snow, why?
I understand if you hating driving in it, especially when city plows never touch your development.
I understand if you hate shoveling, especially if you’re older and it’s too strenuous.
I don’t hate driving in it, but I generally don’t go far when it’s that treacherous. I’m lucky that I don’t have to.
I absolutely love shoveling, though. It’s a great workout, I can take as long as I want, I like the cold.
Unless it’s sleeting hard little ice pellets, it’s warm when it snows. I rarely wear gloves when I shovel because I have to waste the time taking them off when my hands get too hot.
Most of all, I love the silence of the world when it snows. I swear it’s quiet and peaceful. I wonder if it’s my imagination or if there’s an atmospheric phenomenon that makes me feel like I’m the only person alive in the world when I’m outdoors during a snow storm.
Or maybe it’s because I’m the only person outside when it snows? Impossible to know.
